How to Help Your Body Detox Heavy Metals and Toxins

Ever since the post from Dr Staninger that cautions the use of any type of Colloidal or Nano Silver supplement if you suspect you have contracted Morgellons, I have had many questions about what to do to help eliminate this toxin.

Dr. Staninger has recommended eating 10 sprigs of cilantro a day to target any heavy metals you want to detoxify from your tissues. She also recommends taking kelp, chlorella, and krill oil as directed on their bottles. The combination of these plants and supplements aid the body in detoxification processes of heavy metals, aromatic solvents, and the virus and metals that have stored deep in the nerve tissue.

Recently, I have been researching the vector points for being exposed to mercury and found some eye openers. I do not immunize my kids and we eat fish maybe 3-4 times a year and yet my youngest had a high level of mercury in her system.

It really puzzled me and this is what I have found so far:

There are several abbreviations for names of mercury ingredients in our products today…TM for thimerosal, PMA for phenylmercuric acetate, PMN for phenylmercuric nitrate, MA for mercuric acetate, MN for mercuric nitrate, MB for merbromin, and MOY for mercuric oxide yellow. On the FDA’s website they offer a list of the manufacturer’s and names of products that have these ingredients.

About 40% of the products listed had “NS” (Not Stated) in the column that discloses the % of mercury within that product in the agency’s Drug Registration and Listing System. It doesn’t mean this value is unknown, it means they did not disclose it to us. The other dramatic thing I learned was that the majority of the products listed were either nasal sprays or eye drops!

As I said, this was an eye opener…it didn’t however, help me, since my daughter does not use these products either.
hmmmmmm.

Then I found this mercury calculator and it too provided some interesting facts even though it only calculates for how much fish you eat.

I was happy to see that our fish choice of Salmon had some of the lowest values but again this has not yet answered my dilemma of where my kid has gotten it from…my suspicions lie next in the drinking water but back to this mercury calculator for a minute.

In testing my reasoning about which of the canned tunas would be the worst, I was way wrong. I figured that albacore tuna is better than the light tuna can, but for the body weight of my daughter it jumped from 93% of the EPA limit for mercury in a week with the light tuna to 280% with the albacore. Holy Mackerel!!! I’m glad we don’t eat Tuna.

I have just spent over an hour trying to get an answer from the EPA on water quality lists and standards and all I can say is…they do not make it easy to follow the numbers. I got down one track where it said: Annual drinking water quality reports for ‘your state’ and then down into my local area…I was excited to finally see something that would mean something to me as I clicked the link. Well - not quite. It directed me to a local utilities page for my city where I could learn more about employment, register as a new resident for service, or pay my bill on line. GEE THANKS!

I will continue looking for the vector point of exposure for my daughter, so far it is none of the usual suspects. Mercury posioning is known to damage the kidneys and now this makes sense to me - she has always struggled with UT infections, dang.

Until I get that answer, I have a hint to all moms…I have been making burritos and chopping both parsley and cilantro up to sprinkle inside. Wrap it up and feed your young ones some real live detoxing herbs and know that you are helping their little bodies eliminate those nasties.

Thanks and have a wonderful day.
