Will Supreme Court Decide Mandatory Health Care Insurance Is Unconstitutional?

Monday, the Supreme Court began a three-day hearing on the constitutionality of the healthcare act.
Now the program mandates that every American buy health insurance or pay a penalty. This means that the growing police power of the Federal government would be significantly broadened to control the everyday lives and choices of people.
Tuesday’s headline from CNN 3/27/12:
Washington (CNN) — In one of the most anticipated Supreme Court hearings in years, the justices on Tuesday offered sharply divided views on the controversial individual mandate provision at the heart of the 2010 federal health care reform law.
Highlights argued by Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, in support of the law, “Those who don’t participate in health care make it more expensive for everyone else. “It is not your free choice” to stay out of the market for life”, she said.
Highlights argued in opposition by Justice Anthony Kennedy said that the federal government “is telling an individual he has the obligation he must act” and purchase insurance. “That threatens to change the relationship between the government and the individual in a profound way.”
If Congress could regulate health care in the name of commerce, added Chief Justice John Roberts, “all bets are off” on a range of areas subject to federal oversight.
As the Wall Street Journal said in their editorial on Friday, The Affordable Care Act claims federal power is unlimited. It seems to us that it is but a step from requiring everyone to buy health insurance to requiring that every citizen be vaccinated. (YIKES)
Simultaneously, a battle wages in the Los Angeles, California court system against Rawesome Food Co-Op owner James Stewart and Sharon Palmer of Healthy Family Farms.
Most of us in the ‘alternative health’ and ‘real food’ communities recognize this court case isn’t really about the assorted charges brought against them – charges like alleging conspiracy to defraud farm investors, and get this – ‘conspiracy on unlabeled and improperly labeled food…’
I have a question…If it is true that raw food is dangerous to our health and our government says it is unsafe to eat, then how the hell did we get to the 21st Century as a species? I honestly want to know because if this is true, we would All be dead already!
Both are rather scary pictures of what may come to pass within our judicial systems and government agencies.
The Rawesome Food court case can set a precedent on our future food rights while the Supreme Court decides if our personal health plans must soon become mandated and quarantined into a few medical choices.
Both of these provide significant economic gain for companies like Monsanto, Nestle, Pfizer, American Dairy Association, American Medical Association – ooooo don’t get me started!
Don’t get me wrong, for healing traumatic injury, get thee to a hospital. But for long-term, degenerative illness, a medical system based on drug prescriptions is foolish and literally throws mud in the face of biology.
Many western medical models still know nothing about nutrition, diet, fasting, exercise, healing, rest and relaxation.
There is little truly being researched about preventative strategies yet this has to be the cornerstone of any genuine approach to national health and healing.
Another great question to start asking is, what would choosing life as a nation look like? Let it be founded upon our personal discoveries and shared as a sustainable cooperative lifestyle.
Solutions that are already working…
1. We have demonstrated the possibility of urban farming. Already, in towns and cities people have planted biodynamic/French intensive vegetable gardens in their backyards. Furthermore, they are raising chickens, bees and even goats.
2. We have long since concluded that pesticides, herbicides and chemical preservatives lead to cell death and oppose a vibrant life. Many folks already purchase only organic fruits, vegetables, meats and dairy.
Why aren’t we voting to have the government institution implement a five-year program for the transition of all food grown in America to be organic and GMO-free?
Remember that before WWII and 1945, all fruits and vegetables were organic.
3. We have come to the realization that clean-air and pure water are absolute essentials.
The truth cannot be held back any longer – non-GMO, organic food, along with clean air and water will have a greater effect upon the well-being and health of Americans than any pill.
Finally, lets ask this question, is there any doubt that the depression and loss of self-respect associated with being unemployed along with the uncertainty of providing for oneself and family is a central factor in so much illness?
There are almost 13 million Americans unemployed, growing desperate and sick. This growing Health Hazard from stress is measurable and debilitating for us all.
A modest proposal is that Americans be given the opportunity to rescue, repair and restore this great land. This is surely the deepest ecology system that our health depends on to prosper and be vital.
Ultimately, we can heal this people and restore this American earth to a semblance of its original vitality.
“I beseech your majesty, let me have justice, and I will then trust the law.” ~Elizabeth Hoby Russell English courtier spoken to King James 1, 1603
Thank you to everyone in the growing community of sober-minded Americans who remember to question authority rather than bend over and grab…
