Baci Mi© Skin Care For Men - The Perfect Fathers Day Gift?

viggoLast month, one of the gals on the Healing Grapevine team suggested we do a promotion for Father’s Day with skin care. My response was, are you kidding, skin care as a gift for Father’s Day?! I laughed the idea away.

Reflecting on my response today makes me wonder how much I was caught in stereotyping. The fact is men use skin care products more than ever these days.

Where as some of the sexiest men on earth, like Viggo Mortensen at 51, have this great rugged look to help create their smoldering mystique, it appears that for men to have ‘character lines’ is more acceptable…no one is balking at his skin - at least the gals here aren’t!

It was several months after using Baci Mi© Gels on myself that my husband (as well as my ex husband) noticed such a change in my face, that they actually started using it for themselves.

Deep down, all guys want to look younger if they can. I think when it comes to things like skin care, men are just more practical.

Women are targeted more with ‘beauty solutions’, men are not. For guys if it isn’t sticky, gooey, or smelly they are willing to try it. When they experience that it works, they will keep using it.

I know for myself, now that I have found effective, clean skin care that doesn’t have designer price tags or labels, I also want my man to stay younger looking too.

The Importance of Collagen to the Skin - Part 2

Collagen

Collagen

It was brought to my attention that I posted this article without mentioning the Collagen that Dr. Staninger recommends. For those of you who have read the article check out Collagen Type I & III here.

Collagen is a group of proteins found exclusively in animals and makes up about 25% to 35% of the body’s protein content. It is the main protein that makes up our connective tissue. It provides strength and flexibility to everything from skin to tendons, ligaments, and muscle tissue; as well as to organs, cartilage, teeth, nails, hair and placenta.

Both my Mom and Grandma have this thing where the littlest bump on their arm turns into a massive bruise. The bruises are deep purple, blue, and red colors and they seemed to never go away.

It is so extreme for my Grandma that sometimes her whole arm is covered and now she will only wears long-sleeve shirts. As is the case for many elderly folks, her skin is also fragile and easily peels back if a bandaid is applied. It is very unpleasant to say the least and very common for aging skin.

About two months ago I asked Dr. Staninger about this and her answer was, “Collagen, that means she needs collagen…and vitamin C” and passed this along to my Mom.

Without diving too deep into Biology or Physiology 101, remember that every 3 months we have all new skin cells. Its also important to remember that Dr. Staninger states that chronic illness and exposure to toxins and pollution will significantly deplete our proteins, minerals, etc. For some folks that would mean they have a double whammy against them.

Baci Mi© Gels for Menopause, Thyroid and Anti-aging

myrtuscommunisSince the day I tried my first sample of Baci Mi© gel I was sold. At 50 years of age discovering a skin care line as pure and powerful as Dr Staninger’s proprietary products has been miraculous. I have begun to reverse the aging process. You can read my first post on Vermiizyme - Secrets to Beautiful Skin.

The gel I want to talk about today is Baci Mi© Kikazaru. Kikazaru gel contains the blended essential oils of LEMON and MYRTLE. Lemon oil is known for uplifting and cleansing. Its aroma can inspire increased concentration and awareness. The myrtle originated from ancient Tunisia. It has been used in normalizing hormonal imbalances of the thyroid and ovaries, as well as balancing the hypothyroid. During the time of the Egyptians, it was used for its soothing effects on the respiratory system. The blend of these oils aids in lightening pigmentation or skin blotches from mutated fungus that affects the skin, if it lacks the amino acid tyrosine.

I have been using Kikazaru for a couple of months now. Every morning and night I put some on my lower belly for ovaries and also on my throat for my thyroid. Kikazaru helps to balance my hormones. Last year my Doctor noticed I had a goiter caused by an under-active thyroid and after two months of using Kikazaru the goiter is gone. Menopause creates a number of symptoms including hot flashes, weight gain, dry skin and more. I rarely get hot flashes anymore and the constant dry patches and lines in my skin have been severely reduced if not completely disappeared leaving me with smoother younger looking skin. Much of this I owe to the use of my far infrared heating pad but I have noticed areas that never get far infrared like my legs are much less dry than they were. No more crocodile skin!

Washington Post: FDA says studies on Triclosan, used in sanitizers and soaps, raise concerns

I just spotted this article on Triclosan in the Washington Post at the same time as one of our team put up a new page with all the soap and toothpaste that Dr Staninger recommends. I breathed a sigh of relief knowing we are safe in her hands knowing all the products including all Dr Staninger’s skin care on this site have been rigorously tested by her and are 100% non toxic, GMO-free and Nano-free.

Triclosan

Here is the article:

“The Food and Drug Administration said recent research raises “valid concerns” about the possible health effects of triclosan, an antibacterial chemical found in a growing number of liquid soaps, hand sanitizers, dishwashing liquids, shaving gels and even socks, workout clothes and toys. The FDA and the Environmental Protection Agency say they are taking a fresh look at Triclosan, which is so ubiquitous that is found in the urine of 75 percent of the population, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The reassessment is the latest signal that the Obama administration is willing to reevaluate the possible health impacts of chemicals that have been in widespread use.

In a letter to a congressman that was obtained by The Washington Post, the FDA said that recent scientific studies raise questions about whether triclosan disrupts the body’s endocrine system and whether it helps to create bacteria that are resistant to antibiotics. An advisory panel to the FDA said in 2005 that there was no evidence the antibacterial soaps work better than regular soap and water. The FDA was responding to inquiries from Rep. Edward J. Markey (D-Mass.), who has been pushing federal regulators to take stronger action to restrict the use of triclosan and other chemicals that have been shown in laboratory tests to interfere with the delicate endocrine system, which regulates growth and development.

Baci Mi Tribute to Asian Legends Skin Care Gels

Tribute to Asian Legends

Tribute to Asian Legends

Baci Mi© recognizes the importance of contributions that various Asian ethnological societies have contributed to the world as art, science and medicine. Many of these Asian contributors grew up in a time not as we know it now, but lived when a story teller would tell the village children of Legends with tales of adventure, romance and happy endings.

Our Asian cultural heritage is represented through Baci Mi’s© Medicinal Botanical Gels of Antiquity series called Tribute to Asian Legends Gels.

The most famous of these legends is the “Monkey King” (Hanuman). Wu Ch’eng-en (c.1500-c.1582) born in Huai’an, China bore the style Ruzhong and the pen name Heyang Hermit. He was a scholar-official and wrote one of the most renowned classical Chinese novels entitled journey to the West. It is about the allegorical rendition of the Monkey King’s journeys, mingled with Chinese fables, fairy tales. legends, superstitions, popular beliefs, monster stories as well as whatever the author could find in the Taoist and Buddhist religions.

The classical Chinese Novel “Journey to the West” by Wu Ch’eng-en has been a most popular edition for 200-300 years as “A Taoist Interpretation of Journey of the West” chiefly because it is considered to be a more mature literary work than many of the Ming Dynasty editions.

Vermiizyme - the secret to beautiful skin

flower1VermiiZyme is a skin food. We spend hours preparing food to feed our bodies yet our skin is the largest organ and what do we feed it? I have always been aware that a good diet will help your skin but Dr Staninger has really brought it to my attention just how much the skin can be helped from the outside. I don’t know about your skin but mine has been left hungry after a lifetime of sun, salt and surf. Not from a lack of moisture creams or lotions but from lack of nutrients. How many potions have you tried that promise anti-aging, anti-wrinkle…all empty promises..and empty your pockets too! VermiiZyme is a real food. It’s composed of beneficial bacteria, enzymes, micro enzymes, microsomal enzyme inducers and proteins that aid the skin in replenishing vital nutrients on the skin’s surface as prebiotic and probiotic supplementation. A perfect food for perfect skin.

I first came into learn about Vermiizyme a year ago when my friend suggested I use her new Far Infrared Sauna to help with the early Morgellons symptoms I was experiencing: crawling, pin-pricking etc. Dr Staninger recommends spraying the Vermiizyme on the back of the neck before getting in the sauna in the first month’s protocol. My symptoms were immediately reduced and after a month of constant use they were gone. My skin was as soft as a new born baby. I gave the credit to the Far Infrared and didn’t give the Vermiizyme another thought.

Do 3 Things Today To Begin Your Spring Detox

The benefits of a comprehensive detox program are being reported across the alternative health community. The simple truth that our cells will age quicker and are more likely to succumb to disease if they are loaded with toxins and hazardous compounds is finally becoming main stream understanding.

Today, you can start with 3 simple things to begin facilitating the detoxing response that will help flush out the garbage being stored in your cells, tissues, and organs.

1. Eat ethnic foods! Research has shown that adding spices like turmeric and capsicum to your diet will increase your vitality and help you begin looking and feeling better right away. There are now more than 400 studies published on curcumin which is found in turmeric. Its anti-carcinogenic, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant properties are being widely recognized. The Washington Post reported back in 2003 - “Medical researchers are becoming increasingly convinced that the most primitive part of the immune system (inflammation), may play a crucial role in some of the most devastating afflictions of modern humans, including heart disease, cancer, diabetes and possibly Alzheimer’s.”

2. Get Juicing! Juicing is great for weight loss, better immune system function, increased energy, glossy hair, and overall fast delivery of live nutrients to the cells. Juicing has been instrumental for the recovery of many chronic illnesses within the alternative health community such as cancer, MS, with the latest reports coming from Parkinson’s disease.
