Lyme Disease is a Diagnostic Nightmare
Last month our team went to a presentation by Ginger Savely, DNP, on one of most difficult diseases to both diagnosis and treat today; Lyme disease.
The focus of her topic were the challenges our medical community is facing in diagnosing this complex disease. Nearly the entire team of the Healing Grapevine has a story to tell about the debilitating episodes and long road to recovery that this dis-ease has so presented us. In my story published on the website, it was my friends that were able to help me recognize I was infected by the Borrelia burgdorferi bactierum. I had to convinced my clinic to give me the Western Blot test for confirmation.
We have just a published a new Lyme disease article titled ‘Lyme The Diagnostic Nightmare‘. Here is an excerpt:
Dr. Savely is one of the few experts on the front lines for both Lyme and Morgellons disease and she supports the idea there is a Lyme connection with Morgellons. To consider the less known and still widely debated information that Lyme is a genetically engineered organism (In the book ‘Lab 257′ by G. Enderlein, he suggest that Bb bacterium is an escaped man-made US military bio-warfare organism) combined with the data reported from Dr. Staninger stating the root cause of Morgellons is contamination from advanced nano materials, this makes an interesting case.
Its Lyme Awareness Month. Do You Have It?

It’s May and summer is just around the corner. By now, no matter where you live in the US, you will have shaken off your winter slumber and begun to take some nice long walks in the outdoors.
It’s appropriate then that May is Lyme Awareness month. Lyme disease is the most common tick-borne disease in the Northern Hemisphere. Borrelia is most commonly transmitted to humans by the bite of infected ticks belonging to a few species of the genus Ixodes. Early symptoms may include fever, headache, fatigue, depression, and a characteristic circular skin rash called erythema migrans. Left untreated, this disease brings on complications that may involve the joints, heart, and central nervous system.
The disease is often left untreated because of lack of awareness and/or misdiagnosis. Luckily we have a whole new group of alternative doctors helping the Lyme community to raise awareness and educate people to both protect themselves and get proper treatment as quickly as possible. It is vital to get educated so that you can recognize the early symptoms. Read this Lyme guide for the basics and then this read this article re-printed from David Williams MD on our Lyme disease page.
The symptoms of Lyme disease mimic so many other diseases and often go untreated until the symptoms move to a secondary and much more debilitating levels of dis ‘ease‘. For these people the ease is literally gone from their lives and for many there seems no light at the end of the tunnel.

What a cool combination to find.
I will do my best to be brief but I feel this is important for you to truly appreciate the place I was in when I met her…
I have been a health fanatic and competitive athlete most of my life. I recognized that this level of passion and thirst for knowledge on the subject wasn’t for everyone, it just made me feel so good and that was my motivation.
In the summer of 2006, I was heavily into my organic gardening in Wisconsin when I was bit twice on my leg by a deer fly. If you’ve ever been bitten, you know they have big teeth.
A day or so later, I woke up with an intense heat on the back of my knee joint and it was stiff and sore. I thought it was a spider bite, possibly a brown recluse because of the reaction I was having. The swelling continued getting worse for days and finally red lines were tracking into my groin. Very weird and I had no real idea what it was. I went to the emergency room (I’ve not had much use for a doctor) they said I had some kind of infection of which the name eludes me now and they gave me antibiotics.
It worked.
