I recently joined the Healing Grapevine Team on a pilgrimage to the offices of Dr Hildegarde Staninger in LA. From the entrance of IHS (Integrative Health Systems) you can see the Hollywood sign on the hill beyond. One could wonder why an industrial toxicologist would choose to live in the heart of the most polluted city in the US. Our GPS struggled to guide us through all that smog as we entered the city. Surely Dr Hildy (as she is affectionately known) is more aware than most of the effect of the toxic skies above us? I was entertaining two possibilities as I entered her office.

My first possibility was confirmed the moment I met her. Her outrageous passion and fearlessness reminded me of Mother Theresa standing in the heart of Calcutta.
